A communication needs assessment is where we go over your individual hearing loss and concerns. There are different levels of technology and manufacturers. There is no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone. This appointment is essential to evaluate your lifestyle, goals and desired level of support from our audiologists.

No matter the level of technology, hearing aids do not come out of the box ready to use. They need to be programmed and verified for patients to hear their best.

We use sophisticated measures to take sound recordings inside the ear canal to ensure the hearing aids are programmed to meet the patient's prescription. Anything less is guesswork. If you purchased your hearing aids elsewhere, we recommend completing this testing at our office.

As long as the hearing aid software is not proprietary (or "locked"), we are fully equipped to provide the important fitting services to allow you to maximize your benefit. This is another benefit of our pricing structure.

All hearing aids purchased through our office include one year of service in the listed price. At your one-year check, we evaluate whether you would benefit from a continued annual service plan (our hearing wellness program) or if fee-for-service makes more financial sense for you. By unbundling these service fees, it ensures that you only pay for what you need.
